Innovate - Multifamily Education and Technology Showcase
Introducing the Fourth Annual MMHA Innovate!
Keynote Session by Henna Pryor
Awkward & Upward: Your surprising secret weapon for navigating uncertainty, rapid change, and the future of work. Advances in technology have made it easy to avoid real – and sometimes difficult – human interaction. While texting, online ordering, and “swiping right” is convenient, we’re losing the skills of relating to others, building trust and connection, and enduring the critical friction and messiness we get from being in proximity to each other. This new reality is weakening our social muscles and slowly destroying our ability to have the conversations needed to connect at the highest level, take smart risks, and navigate today’s increasingly complicated world of work. Navigating uncertain times sounds obvious enough, but most of us have a hard time moving from wishful thinking to execution. Why? Because when we stumble through those moments, we feel awkward – and that awkwardness bumps up against our deep desire for others to approve of us and what we do. As it turns out, it’s what we improve in the face of these moments – often despite others’ judgment – that leads to the greatest growth.
Join world-renowned keynote speaker, Inc. Magazine columnist, and Workplace Performance Expert, Henna Pryor, to learn how embracing the Good Awkward is your secret weapon for skyrocketing teamwork, speaking up boldly and effectively, and strengthening your adversity muscle.
Breakout Session 1
- Henna Pryor – Executive Roundtable Improving performance management with employees & delivering and receiving effective feedback
- Candice & Caj - You Are The Problem: Shifting Workplace Culture Through Humility, Self-Awareness and Managing Emotions
Achieving success at work starts with a deep understanding of yourself. This session encourages employees to reflect on their own behaviors and attitudes, recognizing that the key to personal and professional growth often lies within. By cultivating humility and self-awareness, you can overcome personal barriers to success, while emotional intelligence helps you build stronger relationships with colleagues and improve workplace dynamics. Through introspection and emotional management, participants will learn how to navigate challenges with resilience and contribute more effectively to their team and organization. Learning objectives for this session are as follows:
- Understand how embracing humility can open up opportunities for growth, collaboration, and improvement in the workplace.
- Gain tools to better regulate your emotions, improving interactions with colleagues and reducing workplace stress.
- Enhance your ability to empathize and connect with coworkers, fostering a more supportive and collaborative environment.
This session will empower employees to look inward, taking steps to improve not only themselves but also the overall workplace dynamic.
Breakout Session 2
- Latriece Leake "Rumble: Silence Your Inner Critic to Achieve The Life You Deserve."
Often, employees are fighting battles employers aren't privy to. Family, financial stressors, health, and even mental challenges have been plaguing our work culture deep beneath the surface of our daily interactions. This has caused detrimental fractures to the foundation of our teams, hampering productivity and the confidence of our employees. This webinar will deliver a stunning blow to defeated mindsets and empower it's attendees to defeat the limitations that are hindering them from living the personal and professional life that they deserve.

Closing Keynote: Kyle Scheele – Becoming an Idea Factory: How to turn yourself (and your organization) into an innovation machine
The truth is, creativity is a skill like any other: it can be learned. In the same way that we teach employees how to track expenses, process invoices, and jiggle the lock just right to get into the supply closet, we can teach them how to be more creative, how to have better ideas, and how to build a culture where innovation is a natural byproduct.
