This month, we proudly celebrate the second anniversary of the Leasing Training Academy (LTA), a transformative program that has connected individuals with rewarding careers in residential property management. Since its inception, the LTA has empowered local communities, grown from a single location to two, and helped almost a hundred individuals begin successful careers in property management.
The LTA’s mission is simple yet impactful: to train and place individuals—whether unemployed, under-employed, or seeking a career change—into the residential property management field. Through a comprehensive, no-cost training program, LTA removes barriers to entry and provides participants with the skills and confidence to succeed.
In just two years, the program has achieved incredible milestones:
- 84 graduates trained and empowered
- 63 graduates now employed in property management
- Expansion from Prince George’s County to Baltimore County
- Over 20 management companies as placement partners
- Recipient of the 2024 Anthony Pusaterri Award from the National Apartment Association
The vision behind the LTA was a visionary idea from Adam Skolnik and brought to life by Candice Manning. Together with invaluable partners like Employ Prince George’s and Walter Simmons, they’ve built a program that is truly changing lives and transforming the property management industry.
The LTA program, which spans 20 days of training, equips students with hands-on leasing experience, professional development, and mentorship. After graduation, the LTA continues to support students with job placement and mentorship, ensuring that they enter the workforce prepared for success.
As we celebrate this milestone, we look to the future with excitement and gratitude. The LTA continues to expand its reach and inspire others to consider property management as a rewarding career.
To our graduates, mentors, partners, and supporters—thank you for making the Leasing Training Academy a success. We look forward to even greater achievements, more lives transformed, and more opportunities for the years to come!
